DennisM4
Hi everyone. Im a huge fan of smokey beers. Would it work to pour in some liquid smoke in the brew to give it alittle smoketaste? Or do it contain any ingredient that will ruin the beer? Anyone tryed this?
PB2
I've tasted a couple of different brands of Rauchbier but just cannot find anything about them that appeals. Anyway, perhaps you could try dosing a few bottles, at the filling stage, with varying amounts of liquid smoke?? That way, you won't ruin a whole batch [biggrin]
DennisM4
Ohyea rauchbier is great. We got a swedish beer here aswell called "carl oscars r\xf6kporter(smokeporter) and thats the 2 u can get ur hands on in the liquirstores here. Yeah ofcourse why didnt i think of that. Ofcourse a couple of bottles first :D but i need to buy a new liquid smoke first, mine is almost out and i can imagine its full with bacteria. So ill try to find some tomorrow since im gonna bottle my irish stout in some days. I will make a couple of bottles of smokey irish stout =) and ill wait til the aging made em as good as they can get then ill crack one open. That way i see how liquid smoke works with aging aswell. I will come back with result =)
