DaleB
hahaha nice Nope not allowed to watch it yet, however did have a win over the Mrs, I can store the beer under the stair case in our little attic.. Very Happy, but need to wait to later to open the box so the kids don't want to open theirs :)
PB2
Rinsing with hot water is good enough for the first brew.
DaleB
Well the first batch is on, we will see how this goes. One thing I did notice is there were a few scuff marks on the inside of the fermenter, im guessing from the bottles when it was packaged They weren't scratches as they were pretty smooth, just scuffs a couple of inches long and about 2mm across. Should be ok as they were pretty smooth but wouldnt rub off. Lets hope it all goes well, and yes the DVD was super easy to follow, and wow does that Beer brew can taste good :)

DaleB
Well its been 3 days, So I guess i will take the collar off tonight and see how it is looking, apart from the DVD is there anything particular I should do?
johng12
Wait and test with your hydrometer, with the same reading after two days ready to bottle. Some brewers will leave the brew for another week to settle but i understand being a new brewer you may be impatient. Either way will take no harm as long as the primary fermentation has completed.
