Crouchy
Hi all, I have just put down an IPA using the standard recipe in the 'how to brew' section... EXCEPT, I stuffed up and added water to the 23L mark, not the 20 as the recipe says. To say I'm peeved with myself right now is an understatement!! [annoyed] What can I expect from this brew? Obviously a "diluted" taste which goes against the whole IPA experience, but will I have any other issues with the higher water content?
Squishy
Other than the watered down taste[crying] and less Alcomohol[crying] you shouldn't have too many worries[biggrin] Maybe Dry hop it to add some extra kick
Crouchy
Well, I bottled my (diluted) IPA on 12 November and have just cracked my first sample. For a stuff up, it turned out really well, plenty of body, great head retention and the flavour is great, strong, but obviously not as strong as a correct brew!! The colour is still quite dark, but bitterness is down a bit - which is to be expected. I think what I've ended up with is a "session" IPA. Cheers all, I reckon I might just have another :)
