PB2
My employer makes malt extract. [biggrin] I don't but I'm left wondering, what would motivate a person to make their own malt extract [sideways] or Do you mean making beer from grains - milling, mashing, sparging, boiling, chilling, fermenting - rather than using bought extracts? PB2
That okay Brian - 'work' may be too strong a term... Some would argue I just make an appearance at the Brewery [sideways] [whistling [wink] Making a brew from grain can produce a brew that is around 16%-17% solids. After that, the water needs to be evaporated off, which takes lots of energy.
