MattC9
Started draught brew last Thursday night and I think there may be a problem with this one!! started with 1.7kg tooheys draught purchased from safeway, 1kg light malt extract. added 300grams raw suger and 100grams golden syrup this to increase the alchol %. The yeast I have used was the one that was in the lid of the tin and was pitched at 21c. For 3 days this was fermenting at about 26-28c , on saturday did a test reading was 1020( OG was 1060 ) and all week this has stayed the same reading??? Does someone know if this brew is STUFFED!!! or should I just wait it out? Thanks Matt
Muddy Waters
First problem is the Tooheys can Matt [lol] I reckon the yeast wasn't in good condition and pooped out too early. I'd give the wort a stir and pitch some more yeast myself...but I'm not sure how good it will taste brewed at those temps.

Muddy Waters
The yeast may not take off too well if you don't give it a bit of a stir to aerate the wort. It can happen to the best of kits Matt, not only Tooheys - you don't know how well they store them in a supermarket or what temps the yeast is subjected to.
