WeirdBeer
I'm about to try my hand at the Australian Pale Ale and So I picked up a can of Coopers APA and the Brew Enhancer 2 that it recommends. I read elsewhere that it has Dextrose, Light Dry Malt, and Maltodextrose in it. But how much of each? Can anyone tell me? Thank you, Paul
Brew Manchu
Hi Paul, you are correct. This came up recently in the forum, and I believe BE2 is 50% Dextrose + 25% Maltodextrin + 25% Light Dry Malt. Thinking about making your own?
WeirdBeer
Not really! I was just curious. Can anyone confirm this? I will reserve my judgments for after the beer is done, but I didn't really want to use half a kilo of Dextrose in fear of making it taste cidery. But I guess I'll give it a shot. Can anyone tell me how much Alcohol I'll get from a Can of Coopers and Brew Enhancer 2?
PB2
If you make it to 23 litres and also prime the bottles with sugar at the rate of 8g/l, the beer will contain approximately 4.5% ABV - what a coincidence [wink]
