rough draught

Hi all. The first draught i made was a bit on the bland side[annoyed] so instead of using brewing sugar i was thinking of using brew enhancer 1 and some LDM. If anyone has some other ideas that would be great[biggrin].

hi i havnt done the draught befor but try using toucans of the draught and sum of your favortite hops placed in a clenix cloth on say day 2 that shud spice it up a bit [biggrin]

The 'Irish Ale' recipe is the draught tin, BE1 and golden syrup. It's great. Well worth trying.

I made the Irish Ale recipe and added some Goldings hops after 7 days and it turned out very tasty indeed and is also has a good aroma. I think i'll chill some more and have one with dinner!

I mixed can of draught with 1.5kg liquid amber malt extract, made an aroma hop tea boil - ended up with very nice malty start and bitter dry finish, color is fantastic - deep dark amber - really nice!

Ive made the draught 3 times.

The first 2 times it was a bit sour?

The third time I added some hops and it came out much better.

Drunk the last one after 5 months in the bottle and it was great.

I used Cascade hops so it was like an American Pale Ale style beer.

Recipe.

1.7Kg Draught Can

750 gm DME

200 gm Crystal grain

Cascade hops 15g

Boil Crystal & hops for 20 mins.

This will give you +10 ibu from the Cascade hops.

Yeast US-05

 

For a english style beer use fuggles hops and s-04 yeast.
