PatrickW7
The Commercial Club Hotel in Fitzroy has a cellar full of Sparkling & Best Extra kegs that have been conditioning for at least a year, some longer. The Ale on tap today was put in barrel in Feb 2011 & is really something. The Stout goes on around mid May with half of it 2 years to the good. If you're in any doubt about how this stuff stands up over time then you won't be after you try it. Man has to have a hobby. Cheers, Patrick Walsh. LukeM1
I've seen some pubs in SA introducing aged Sparkling... never tried it though. A mate of mine also got his hands on some longnecks of Sparkling and Best Extra that were 5 years old, he said he paid close to $20 each or something ridiculous! Can't remember where it was though. I just bought 3 Sparkling longnecks and 3 Best Extra longnecks to chuck in the cellar, gonna see how long I can forget about them/resist drinking them!
