jamesr12 Posted July 2, 2011 Share Posted July 2, 2011 Hi all i put down a coopers pale ale 2 weeks ago and it is still brewing, now i use an old fridge with a thermostat to keep my temp constant around 25 degrees, when i put this beer down it took a long time to get going and is still going and has bubbled very very slow the whole way through and still going, i have done nothing different to this brew than any other brew i have made can anyone shed some light on why this might be Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Biermoasta Posted July 2, 2011 Share Posted July 2, 2011 For starters I think that 25C is too hot, try and ferment around 18-20C next time [cool]. Are you judging fermentation just by the amount of bubbles? If so it is a very unreliable method, use a hydrometer as it will give you an accurate guide on where the fermentation is up to. The bubbles still being released may just be residual carbonation from the fermentation, now leaving solution, but to be sure you need to take hydrometer readings.
