DavidB25
Hey Guys....is it ever wise to give the brewing wort a good stir after 3 or 4 days during the brewing process? Will this enhance or degrade the process?
Canadian Eh!L
Hi David, If everything is going smoothly then do not stir the wort. There is no benefit and only chance for disaster[crying]. Chad
Guest
No it is not wise. To give a "good" stirring after 3-4 days will introduce oxygen to your wort and you don't want this. Why do you want to stir it? Unless you have a good reason to all you are doing is upping the chance of infection and oxidation. Stick to the old rule, if it is not broke then don't fix it. DavidB25
Many thanks guys...I felt pretty sure that stirring the wort would not be a good idea, but I just had to ask why.
