DavidB25
Just a question re the "Strong" beer (Light German Bock) receipe...the Ingredients list 2ea cans of the Heritage Lager concentrate and 2ea 550g cans of Light dry malt...is this all that is required for fermentation? Additional sugar/dextrose is not required? I just finished my first brew of the Coopers Lager kit and after two weeks of conditioning the beer is delicious! Thanks for your feedback. Robbo
The sugars in the malt will ferment. Malt as the only adjunct is a very traditional way to brew lager. In fact, traditionally German beer only had three ingredients malted barley, hops and water as per the 500 year old Reinheitsgebot or 'Bavarian Beer Purity Law' (yeast isn't known about until Louis Pasteur later on). Glad you are enjoying your brewing. My second ever recipe was the strong IPA. Good luck with the bock.
