Bottom fermenting yeast??

When I was in Germany one of my favourite beers was Malteser Wei\xdfbier, a very nice wheat beer produced by the major brewery in the region. I'm trying to find some information on this beer to get some ideas for how I could try and make a beer like this. The website for the brewery (http://www.stuttgarter-hofbraeu.de/produkt-sortiment/malteser/hefe-hell/ sorry it is in German [bandit]) says this brew is made with a bottom fermenting yeast. I thought that German wheat beers used ale yeast in order to produce the lovely aromas, or am I mistaken? Or are some ale yeasts bottom fermenting??

On a side note, if by chance someone on here has tried this beer, I would love some ideas on trying to recreate a beer even close to it.
