zyx345
I have the Coopers IPA kit that comes with the hopped malt extract can, 1kg of dextrose, carb drops, and 500g of light dry malt ("LDM"). I'm going to try the Authentic IPA recipie below which calls for 1kg of LDM. My local homebrew supplier only has LDM in pounds so I have an extra 1 pound bag (454g) making my total amount of LDM I have on hand, 954g. http://www.coopers.com.au/the-brewers-guild/how-to-brew/strong/authentic-ipa My question is, would the lack of 46g of LDM make a noticable difference in the outcome of the Authentic IPA? Kearnage
'No' is the simple answer. It will change your OG by about one point and have no noticeable effect on alcohol content. Go for it! Dan
Andris
thats about 4.5% discrepancy from original recipe. I really doubt you will feel it or will notice any impact on OG of the brew. +1, go for it!
