JamesP2
Unlike some of the other coopers products, i do not see any suggestions of adding anything to the Real Ale (like BE1 or BE2) has anyone got any suggestions on whether it would benefit from any additions. (keep it simple please) or is straight dextrose the go.
EdwardN
Whatever you want! you could use just glucoce or dextrose. but it might be a bit booring. I made it with BE2 however, now more educated, I reccoment BE1
Trusty1
I made the Unreal ale from the how to section with a prepackaged dark brew booster from my local home brew shop. It was made up of dark dry malt, dextrose and maltodextrin (corn syrup). This is my favourite beer of the 8 that I have brewed and tasted! I bought another kit of the original Ale and am going to add a can of light liquid malt and some Coopers Brewing Sugar (80% dex, 20% Maltodextrin) and some coopers pale ale commercial yeast. You could just use the pack yeast to keep it simple. Great beer, good luck.
Slurtis Staggersalot
I used 1kg of dex and 500g of light dry malt, and it turned out really nice! The next one I put down I did the reverse 1kg LDM 500g Dex, it's still in the FV though.
