Sitting in the Hotel Killarney waiting for hurricane ophelia to pass. On tap, Hop House 13 lager (by Guinness) and in 500ml stubby 51st State IPA (by O'Hara's). Not the Irish ale experience I was looking for but smiling anyway. Hop house lager similar to some of my better attempts at pale ales. IPA to my untutored palate as good as any of limited range of IPA's I've sampled. Anyone else experienced these? Take your time Ophelia, take your time ???? (caveat: judgement cloudier than my cider right now! ) (Yeah...that'd be killarney Ireland) (euro 4.95 pint lager, 6.00 stubby IPA)????????????
