good to see so many pooch lovers and owners on here. I have a kelpie x stumpy tail cattle dog called Roley (in my profile pic). He's a rescue that we have almost 2 years now. I have to admit i love the australian nature of dog ownership. im in WA so we have pretty good weather which enables the dogs to get out and socialise and there are so many parks and amenities where you can take them and introduce them to fellow hounds which they need. back home, dogs are kept in the back yard , hardly any or none social interaction and can become quite aggressive as they become so territorial as they are kept behind a gate.

It is great to see I think dogs are family ours come nearly everywhere with us  .Socializing is a must .Only 3yrs of my life that I haven't had a dog and that was because I lost a dog that I had a very special bond with which was 14 1/2 when he passed a good innings for a Rottie

Love dogs but had a shithouse record with them. Had two and lost both in a short time which devastated our daughters😞

So now we stick to birds. This is my brew mate Jess. She’s got a taste for malted grain and cold beer dregs.

What breed? We have an IRN now but had a cockatiel as well. Both me and the Mrs grew up with parents that breed budgies or cockatiels.

Jess is an Alexandrina.  We also have 3 cockatiels. All have been hand raised and just think they are part of the family.

I don't own a dog but I walk him everyday.  He belongs to an old bloke who has had a hip replacement and is struggling with the rehab, so for the past 12 months I have walked Cody.  He is a husky and he is almost 14.  But he loves his walk except in the hot weather.  I have to get up early and walk him before it gets too hot.

It's good exercise.  I get all the benefit of owning a dog and none of the costs.  And I help old Vic out in the process...

My brew dog Milly. They say you can't replace a dog when you lose one ( or two ) I beg to differ. She's the closest I've ever been to a dog. Which is saying something. To the point she melts down if I go away for a day or too. She's my right hand girl.

Milly doing the Mill Chill.
