Why can't you buy hops from the online store?

Because they don't sell them wink

You will have to get them elsewhere; either homebrew shops or online homebrew shops/hop sellers.

Where are you based?

I know they don't sell them. My question I guess is why? The rotm range come with different hops/yeast so why not stock for separate purchase?

Kiama NSW. I think there's a brew store in Albion park or shellharbour.

There was an answer on here somewhere from PB2, can't find the thread though. I'll keep trying.

A lot of people get there hops from online sellers like:

http://www.hopdealzaustralia.com/

http://shop.beerbelly.com.au/

https://www.craftbrewer.com.au/

http://www.barleyman.com.au/

They do pretty good deals and there are many other companies out there, I've found hops are a fair bit more expensive from my LHBS but I still get them off him a fair bit because some days I'll just need them straight away rather than waiting for delivery and the convenience factor mitigates the extra cost - plus support for the local little guy.

At risk of being corrected, this is what I figure is the answer to why Coopers don't sell hops.

They don't sell what they don't make.

Coopers make beer, brew kits, extracts, concentrates, brewing sugars, carbonation drops etc, but they don't make or grow hops for retail sale, just as they don't sell other brewing products or equipment that are not from their brand.

Coopers provide specialist grains, hops, & yeasts with ROTM packs, because they are the ingredients for the recipes that they put together, but the non Coopers branded ingredients in these ROTM packs are provided by third parties, therefore not financially viable for them to sell as stand alone products via an online store.

Coopers encourages their customers to shop at their LHBS, & to experiment with different ingredients, but they're not in the business of selling the products of other companies.

Simple as that.
