AusPost's "ShopMate"

Anyone else checked this out yet? Australia Post has started their own US shipping proxy service for Australian Residents.

I was looking to buy an A/C controller-board from a US-based ebay store, but since the USPS shipping to an Australian address was extortionate (and they offered free postage to US addresses), I looked around for shipping proxies and the best price I managed to find was around 80 AUD to get my package delivered here.

With the launch deal AusPost are currently running, shipping ended up costing me around AUD 30 instead, which was a saving of around AUD 180 over the originally-quoted USPS shipping cost.

The launch deal is apparently available until the end of November if anyone is interested in buying stuff from the States in time for Xmas:
