Loch Brewer
Beeblebrox, what brand / kind of no rinse sanitiser is it? The sodium percarbonate "no rinse sanitiser" i use leaves white residue if you don't rinse it. I may have to check out some non local home brew shops
Otto Von Blotto
I wasn't suggesting you should do otherwise mate, but glad you gave it a shot and are happy with the results. Loch, I would guess it's something like Starsan.

Switched to Star San after a good hot water wash and rinse and my problems are gone. And for the price of Star San its worth switching over, brought my bottle over a year ago and not even half way through, very cost effective. This sounds very much like my ongoing problems. Not too bad beers but often struggling for head retention and carbonation. Very rarely any significant Krausen. Have tried many many things to fix these problems. One common theme; I've always used Morgans Sanitize which had been recommended by my LBS.
