df05
Hi All, What would you recommend I use for the cloth to hold the grains for the ROTM RoboChoc? Cheers
Magnaman
G'day df05, if going this way a chux or similar is what is being suggested. Cheers.

Guzz
I don't use cloths just poor it through a strainer before boiling Yeah same here, you could use a big hop bag though, which I will probably do when I make my 2nd batch of Robo Choc and cold steep, 1st batch I hot steeped and strained. MM
Last time I used a hop sock I wasn't a happy fella All was going just friggin dandy till it came time to keg Hmm I thought, not much bloody flow!!!! Took dumb ass me a little while to work out what I had done. That friggin hop sock was right up against the tap. Ahh ha I thought, I have a brand new set of long stainless steel tongs I can use. (never used yet as weather in Melb has been crap lately) So sprayed them with starsan, waited for it to work and plucked out the hop bag. Ta Daaaa too easy I thought, then started to drain again. Frigg, lots of sediment was coming through, I must have dislodged some when pulling up the hop bag. At this point being a mad drunken half Scott half Irish I was pretty keen to throw the bloody FV across the garage But alas I composed myself. Moral of the story, sanitise a few marbles and put them in the hop sack, and toss it in the opposite side to the tap EDIT, I just realised that what I wrote has nothing to do with the OP's post, sorry just consider it one of my insane rants
