Welcome to the forum Justin!

I've never had much luck with the Sparkling Ale kit.

Thanks Hairy. Started posting as of today although I have been lurking for a little while now :)

I have always followed the Sparking Ale kit as per Coopers recommendations and love it.

The Euro Lager kit with 2.35 kg Joe White Pilsner, 150g of Carapils and W-34/70 yeast to 23 litres was real winner with friends and family as was the Euro Lager made to the Coopers Oktoberfest recipe.

For me personally the Coopers EB kit with 1.5kg Maris Otter, 200g of medium crystal and50g of Choc Malt with late Golding (15g at 8 and 1) hopping and London ESB Ale yeast was a keeper.

For versatility and quick drinking the Coopers APA kit. My mid strength Ashes Ale used 1 kg Maris Otter, Ella and Styrian Golding hops.

Put on a Coopers' date='

OS Draught

1.5kg Briess Golden malt extract

200 g DME

20g Pride of ringwood hop pellets 10 minute boil

10 g of Vic secret hop pellets for 5 minutes, made up to 23 liters.

Kit yeast

OG 1046, nice smell and taste at this time.[/quote']

Well Muck Fee, this turned out well, my mate and I liked it and we had a few, might push the standard CPA down a notch. happy

2 = English Bitter

3 = CPA

1 = TC Sparkling, with 20g of POR dry hopped, CC yeast minimum 30 days in the bottle.

2 = TC IPA

3 = Draught, with 20g of POR hops @ 10 min & 10g Vic secret Hops @ 5 min.

1 - TC Sparkling Ale - Lightly hopped with Goldings(Dry Day 1) + Centenial - Dry

2 - TC IPA - - Lightly hopped withCentenial(Dry Day 1) + Willamette - Dry

3 - English Bitter - With any hops will do.

Haven't had a real Sparkling Ale in years (at least 20 years) , must have one soon.

I do remember with some fondness, from my youth......the lumpy bits in it!

Cheers
