Purdij1525228982
Hello all, I've started drinking my first brew - the lager that came with the DIY kit. Not bad, but reckon i need to find another/better lager recipe (any ideas welcome). Not sure what the technical term is, but I'm finding it finding it a bit mouthee. Anywhos, actually looking for advice on how to clean beer glasses. I've heard no detergent, so I've just been rinsing in hot water. Is that the right approach? Hope all well. ben 10
I rinse in hot water then place in freezer. The base lager can with the kit is not particularly flash. Search the recipe section or post a thread and your needs will be fulfilled.
Hairy
I clean with a tiny bit of detergent but I rinse thoroughly. I think a dirty glass would be worse then a glass cleaned with detergent. I have had no problems with head formation and retention. Some people put them in the dishwasher with no detergent. Probably a waste of water if you are only cleaning 1 or 2 glasses. Muddy Waters
I usually just use hot water. Less regularly I'll add a drop of detergent with hot water rinsed thoroughly. Periodically I'll soak them in napisan while I'm soaking my FV.

Up there for thinking Muddy, I hadn't thought of that, and was looking for a way to keep my glasses clean without resorting to anything that would leave a residue. I'll have remember to do that the next time I clean out my FV - which will be in a couple of days when I bottle my current batch of APA. Cheers mate.
