Beerlust
The Essential Rory Gallagher. Right now track 5 disc 1 = Bad Penny' date=' such a classic get your "Blues" ears on. Rock On Scottie[/quote'] I admit I hadn't heard of this bloke, so watched & listened to a couple of tracks on YouTube. The guy could play. Pretty sad how it was reported he died, but not unlike the route a lot of rock legends have followed when exiting this world. Some mellower stuff for me today... Just finished listening to Don Henley - The End Of The Innocence. Cheers, Anthony.

King Ruddager
Listened to some Dethklok today. They're a Spinal Tap-esque cartoon band consisting of a group of man-childs doing dumb stuff and being out of touch with common people. They're from the show Metalocalypse; it's hillarious. Here's their song Lyrics below - I love the simplistic childlike words and themes. Eg. "I get to wear big black helmets" I fly a gigantic monster,I am captain evil stomper, I get to wear big black helmets, I pilot the hatredcopter! I fly the beast made of steel, Thick knives that cut the night, Gas tank is filled with vengeance, Machine guns shooting spite, Can't find the thing that makes this, Thing take a hard turn right, I follow where it leads me, Blind bats with wings of might, You, will most likely die, From the hands of my arm, When I come and fly and, Take off your face, With the front of my hatredcopter, I fly a gigantic monster, I am captain evil stomper, I get to wear big black helmets, I pilot the hatredcopter! I fly the hatredcopter, I'm going to hunt you down, I get paid lots of money, For all the bounties found, Can't seem to find the button, That turns the radar on, Can't work the hatredcopter, The hunt for you is on, I, am likely to find, From my failure to fly, That I will be fired for not killing you, Cause that is my job, Hatredcopter, You, will most likely die, From the hands of my arm, When I come and fly and, Take off your face, With the front of my hatredcopter,

ICzed
Thanks for that. I have that album but haven't heard it for ages. It has some pretty cool songs on it but he tends to sing out of tune too often to be able to listen to the album in its entirety C'mon mate we're talking about Lee Dorrian here' date=' not the Ten Tenors. Cathedral rule. Hey K'Rudd, this will always be my favourite SYL track: [i']PLAAAY THAT STUPID PIECE OF SH!T[/i] NP: MINISTRY - N.W.O.
Hairy
After listening to Cathedral when you posted it, it inspired me to dig out these to listen to: Paradise Lost - "Icon" and "Draconian Times". Good stuff.
Beeblebrox
Listening to whatever is playing on Double J. It's a bugger that it's on digital radio, rather than analogue, but I just tune my DVR to the station, and have my DVR plugged into the Aux port in the stereo, problem solved. I'm not buying a crappy little digital radio for $100 or so, just to listen to one or two radio stations if I can use the existing equipment. I expect as with all technology, as it gets older it will become cheaper, the older of us can remember when a CD player cost $1000, or when it was a luxury to have a car with a CD player, whereas now many of them come standard with Blue Tooth, GPS, and MP3. My first car came with a crappy tape deck and dodgy speakers, and was six years younger than me, and smoked more than I did! By now it would have been turned into beer and soft drink cans I'm sure, but I loved that little old Honda Accord, just not enough to pay more than I spent to buy it to maintain it, and it seemed like it was the rust that was holding it together! Beerlust
Mixed stuff right now... Nirvana - The Man Who Stole The World Nirvana - In Bloom Led Zeppelin - Kashmir Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band - Blue On Black Dire Straits - Heavy Fuel George Thorogood - Gear Jammer ACDC - Stormy May Day The last one being very poignant. Malcolm Young who formed the band & wrote most of the songs especially since Bonn Scott's passing, has announced his official retirement from the band today. All due to a cancer related health issue from what I've read in numerous reports over the last few months. Being an ACDC nut & a follower for more than 33 years, a very sad day from my perspective. My best wishes are with him. P.S. Look out for the new album, "Rock or Bust", it may well be their last. Cheers, Anthony.
