TroyJ3
Howdy all Just about to attempt my first Sparkling Ale. I picked up the ingredients today but my local home brew shop didn't have the Coopers Light Malt Extract. They recommended Morgans Pale Lager extract instead. Will this differ the end result much from the recommended recipe / retail beer ? Thanks Troy
Hairy
I haven't used Morgans but it sounds like it it is pretty much the same thing ie. a light/pale liquid malt. It will be fine.

DamianM2
Have you considered reculturing some Coopers bottle yeast? It is a necessary part of the Sparkling Ale flavour supposedly. I have used recultured yeast in my last two brews (Sparkling and Pale Ales) but haven't tasted them yet. Temperature control (under 20 degrees) is important. There are instructions on this site as well as other Home Brew forums. Damian
TroyJ3
Have you considered reculturing some Coopers bottle yeast? Damian No not yet - still a little green. Only did my first brew 7 weeks ago. Will have to give it a go soon though for sure. Cheers
