Hairy
Do you mean you are using the Coopers Pale Ale kit or doing an extract brew with the malt? And if it is the kit, is that one or two cans? One can of Pale Ale in 46 litres with give you very, very low bitterness (probably an IBU around 10). What were you planning on doing with the hops? You may need to do a 45-60 minute boil to increase the bitterness a bit. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to cover everything.

Hairy
I would add all of that in 46 litres. 2 CPAs, 500g LDM, 1.5kg LME and 1kg Dextrose. You could cut back on the dex by a few hundred grams if you want. If you found your last batch too hoppy then perhaps don't add the hops.
Dutchmen
last batch i used 2 x the 12g finishing hops so thought I would reduce it.
Hairy
Give the 12g of hops a go by dry hopping and see if you like that. That quantity in 46 litres isn't a lot so it may be more to your taste. Did you use Cluster hops last time? It may be that you don't like those hops; so experiment with different strains until you find some more to your liking.
