xbox360daddy Posted July 27, 2011 Share Posted July 27, 2011 Hey guys im needing a little help ive noticed a couple folks on here talk about the old spiced ale recipe and i am thinking of makin it with coopers brewmaster irish stout, i want to bump up the alcohol content so i was thinking of maybe using 2 cans of the stout and adding 300 grams of DME then add the 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon what do you guys think any ideas on this or any improvements. regards Darren Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted July 27, 2011 Share Posted July 27, 2011 It will be pretty bitter and would need to be left a fair while in the bottle to mellow out a bit. If you are only wanting to bump up the alcohol with a simple recipe then I'd suggest just doing only the 1 can with 500g dextrose and 500g Dark Dried Malt and make to 20L which should give you about 5.6% Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
