honey IPA

Hey Guys,

wondering what you think of this recipe:

 

1x 1.7kg of Black Rock East IPA

250g light dry malt

250g Gem Spray

150G Dextrose

500G South Aus (riverland) Orange Blossom Honey

15G Amarillo Hops (for bittering)

10G Amarillo hops @50 min mark

11.5G US-05 yeast

filled up to 23 litres

Well I've made the brew and it is happily bubbling away. Very dark in colour. But we'll see what happens with it. OG of 1044.

 

I'll have to do some research on this "gem spray". Like I said, It was prepackaged stuff I actually got with the fermenter. It was listed as a brew sugar and had the dry malt, gem spray and dextrose in it. It was white and fine like brew sugar but in sections had a goldy tinge to it...

Just did some research from the place that i got the fermenter from.. Is it possible the "gem spray" could also be corn syrup? On the website it has the same product but in the description it has 250G of corn syrup.
