ForrestN
I recently brewed an IPA using Coopers IPA, cooper brew enhancer #1 and #2, and coopers LDME. after about a 10 days in the fermenter, i transferred it to my secondary which had 6 oz. of Challenger hops in it. I left it in there for 10 more days. It has been in bottles for going on 3 weeks now and it tastes absolutely amazing. Dry-hopping with Challenger hops was definitely a difference maker. try this recipe for yourself.
Robbo
Hi Forrest, the recipe sounds good. One of the recipes I keep going back to is the Strong IPA recipe on this website. Love it! You sound like you've taken it to the next level. Is that one kilo box each of the BE1 and BE2 and 500gms of LDME? Sounds like a hearty brew, the ABV would have been high if that was the case? Did you take any hydro readings? The hop additions sound good. I've never added hops to the can or used Challenger. I think East Kent Goldings or Fuggles would suit the style too. Yours sounds like a brew that would cellar well and keep getting better with age. That's if it lasts long enough.
