Tipsy Mcstaga
Hi Guys, I am thinking I might give this one a try in the next few brews, What does the real ale taste like? Any ideas what this can is hopped with? The Website doesn't give any info on taste, aroma or flavor We, at Coopers, are renown worldwide for our fine ales. This easy recipe gives the home brewer the opportunity to make an ale with real character. Thanks in Advance
Borris
Mr McStagga (if that's your real name [biggrin] ) I haven't made the real ale so can't make any suggestions. There is a brief list of hop varieties and uses here http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/hops.html So many hops, so little time. My personal fave is Cascade but have only got through about 8 varieties so far. [ninja]
Trusty1
I made the (Trusty's) Unreal Ale using a dark brew booster from my LHBS. it was made up with roughly the same ratios found in the recipe in the how to section, but had dark malt rather than light. I have made 8 brews in my short 6 month brewing career and this is my favourite. I have another real ale in the tub ATM, with 0.5kg of coopers brewing sugar and 1.5kg can of light malt extract.[love] I'm excited!
Slurtis Staggersalot
Real ale is one of my favorites so far! I've just been putting it down simple with Dex and LDM and it comes out really, really tasty. I'm going to put down an unreal ale soon [happy]
Martyn
Unreal ale is a beauty Slurtis, best one I've made so far and well worth a go. Very enjoyable. Just don't drink too many while logged in on here. [lol] Martyn.
