John
Hi all Was wondering if the following recipe could be considered a Pilsener and whether it needs any more tweaks or if there is any other feedback? 2 x cans Coopers International European Lager 300g Dextrose both yeasts made up to 25L An alternative for a bit of fun would be 400g Dry Wheat Malt Extract instead of the dextrose. PB2
Should be okay. Maybe add some Saaz for flavour and/or aroma.
MattVader
Does anyone else think this might lack some body? If you want a cheap pilsner, try: Thomas Cooper's Pilsner 1kg TC's Light Malt 1xSaaz hops This is really delicious! and comes out at around 4.5ABV. Luthien
Does anyone else think this might lack some body? If you want a cheap pilsner, try: Thomas Cooper's Pilsner 1kg TC's Light Malt 1xSaaz hops This is really delicious! and comes out at around 4.5ABV. I think this one will work better. But try both and see which you like better.
kenf
Thanks guy, Iwas looking for a two can euro recipe (they were on special) & I wasn't sure how much brew suger to add. I,m going to use S23 yeast though. Put the "Proper" pils recipe down today so I will see how different they taste :) cheers
