King Ruddager
Right, so, just dry-hopped the last of my whatsits after 5 days in the fermenter. Took a gravity reading (because I'm cool like that) and it says 1.012. OG was 1.045, so it's nearly there but I'll leave it another full week of course. Other observations? It looks just horrible [sick] Oh well, I know it'll clear up [smile]
aaronp6
Really bitter at the back of the palette, all good otherwise @ two weeks bottle conditioning. Will this bitterness mellow with further conditioning? Carbonated slightly high, will bulk prime in the future.
Otto Von Blotto
Yes the bitterness will mellow over time.
aaronp6
Yep, after another week this is mellowing nicely, a few more weeks and it will be a great beer. More patience is the only thing required here, thanks again
King Ruddager
Mine's been in the bottle two weeks now and tastes like ... potential [cool]
Muddy Waters
Potential is good. As long as you don't enjoy too much potential early on only to be left with only a couple of bottles of greatness [biggrin]
King Ruddager
Heh yeah, that's happened to me before! Normally I'm half way through it before it starts to get really good hahaha
