Tricky
Ha Ha You guys are hilarious!! Of course everyone knows where Alice Springs is. An old friend of mine, Maurie, lives there. Maurie is 82 years old. He went to the doctor recently to get a physical. A few days later, the doctor saw Maurie walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Maurie and said, “You're really doing great, aren’t you?” Maurie replied, “Just doing what you said Doc; ‘Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.’” The doctor said, “I didn’t say that. I said, ‘You've got a heart murmur, be careful!’”
Tricky
EARTHQUAKE ROCKS LETHBRIDGE PARK A major earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter Scale hit in the early Hours of this morning, with the epicentre in Lethbridge Park. Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly muttering, "What the ...?" The earthquake decimated the area causing approximately $30.00 worth of damage. Several priceless collections of mementos from the Torana Appreciation Society and the Lethbridge Park Progress Hall were damaged beyond repair. Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed. One resident, Tracy Sharon Smith, a 15-year-old mother of three said "It was such a shock, my little Jayden came running into my bedroom crying. My youngest two, Britney-Vanessa and Justin, slept through it all. I was Still shaking when I was watching Jerry Springer the next morning". Looting, muggings and car theft carried on as normal. The Red Cross has so far managed to ship 400 crates of Vegemite and a similar quantity of Milo to the area to help the stricken locals. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found large quantities of personal belongings, which include Eminem t-shirts, jewellery from Priceline and bone china from Go Lo. HOW YOU CAN HELP This appeal is to raise money for food and clothing, and parcels for those unfortunate to be caught up in this disaster. Clothing is most sought after. Items most needed include baseball caps and tracksuits. Food parcels may be harder to come by, but are needed all the same. Required foodstuffs include unopened packets of Twisties or Cheezels, McDonalds of any description, KFC, ice cream, cans of Red Bull, Bacardi Breezer, or home brew. If you would prefer to donate money, 25c buys a biro for filling in compensation forms; $5.00 buys hot chips and two litres of RC Cola for a family of nine; $10.00 will pay for a packet of Winfield Blues and a lighter to calm the nerves of those affected. Please do not send tents for shelter, as the sight of posh housing is unfair on the population of the neighbouring areas.

Philby
Ah Ross, Ross, Ross - cheers and a lovely Pale Ale coming your way - we can only hope - I'm glad we can all have a laugh over a virtual schooner of our finest, especially at this time of year. I was a C+ geography student, but that aside, 3\xbd years ago I was a blow in resident of Darwin for nearly 13 years, having also visited the Red Centre as part of my work many times ;-) But don't get me started on "football" - there is but one ovoid ball game that counts and it's Rugby League !! BTW, my comment referred to a spoof song about Smokie's very old song........ Cheers to All !!!
rossm
G'day Philby, I was quite aware of the song you refered to but at the time I couldn't help but have a light hearted dig anyway! The fact that you spent time north of the Berrimah line only makes it worse though! That is like another country, a bit like Victoria and the rest of the world! We won't get started on "Football" I can never work out how five blokes, trying to push three blokes up two blokes arse, and then throwing the ball around.............backwards at that, can be called football! .................each to his own I say. Best for the new year.
Philby
Philby remains tight-lipped on the footy subject.... OK, technically, I lived in north of the Berrimah line for about 4 of those years, with the balance being in Humpty Doo - that should at least give me back some credibility. Personally, I think that Coopers People should provide us each with a carton of their finest, for showing that two people can debate their differences amicably when there is one very common interest - the Coopers beer. Football indeed - drop the ball, pick it up, drop it again, punch the ball?? what's with THAT!!
rossm
Right! you're off the hook with the Berrimah line for now, depends on what transpires from here though, as for footy.............we won't talk about that, the carton of Sparkling ale longnecks.................well I s'pose I would have to concur with that! (Were not allowed to have longnecks of beer here in Alice Springs,....... fair dinkum!) Luke
Ahh, Philby, it's called a handball, and Mr Magnay, you're not calling us Vics mexicans are you?....... At least Ross you're off the hook with the footy! :D Back to my ale...... L.

PB2
Nope. Sadly, Kelly has moved on to another company. Good for her but not for us  Yet to hear what is going on with the scheduling of club nights. Might have some news before the end of Jun??
