Dave R2 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Gg'ddaayyy Mates I just started a clone of lord nelson and after i chucked everything in the brew temp was about 36degrees for about 2 hours. Is that going to affect the beer? if so how will i know. I got it down to 22 degrees in my bath and its been there for about 24hours, GF is really happy about me brewing beer in the bathroom FYI. Also i added two sets of Hops Gallaxy and cascade, but the bags broken in the brewer thing so the hops are all through the bucket. Do you reckon its going to still be sweet? Cheers, Smith Street Brewery
Hairy Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 36 degrees is pretty high but if you reduced the temp fairly quickly you might get away with it. I wouldn't worry about the hops; a lot of people throw hops in the FV with no bag. It can be a pain to bottle with the bottler getting clogged and hop matter getting into the bottles. But if you can stick the FV in your fridge for a few days before bottling it will help clear it up a little.
