Shout Out - Hobart

Oh I'm down here on my own.

Anyhow SWMBO tells me we are going to the Tasmanian International BeerFest Prncess Wharf No 1 on Saturday. Just $30 gets you a BeerFest tasting glass and 10 tasting tokens. Some beer food matchingworkshops and additional tokens are 10 for $10.

Gonna try me some Saison, some of that sour stuff, some Belgian, lots of IPA. If they don't have any nice SWMBO beers I'll end up stonkered [bandit] .

Shame I won't see any of you there, but still worth a shout out.

Was down there about a month ago, helping my Mum to sort things prior to her move back to Victoria. She was in Tassie for 53 years!!

Now that Mum has vacated the island, I need to make up some kind of exotic reason to convince my wife to visit again. [pouty]

I'm sure you'll have a good time without us idiots being present [lol]

Hi Scottie.

I've been wanting to come down to Tassie for the last couple of years for the Beerfest. It's the sort of thing I'd like to go down to with a pack of ratbags for a weekend etc. for. I've heard really good things about it, & it seems to get a really good turnout each year. [unsure]

If you give me enough notice on this very forum ahead of the event next year, I'll come down & blow the froth off a few with ya, & maybe bring a few home brews with me. [cool]

Give your SWMBO a Saison at the Beerfest. I reckon she'll love it! [wink]

Would you be a Taswegian by origin PB2? [unsure]

Cheers,

Anthony.

Yeah, not many of you on here. Perhaps you should try RSVP or eHarmony [biggrin]

I would love to go to it; the Mrs and I like Tassie. Might convince her to go next year; I won't tell her Lusty is going though or I will have no chance [tongue]

3 of my siblings were born in Vic, while my younger sister and myself were Tassie born. My younger sister still lives there and I still love the place [love]

So are you suggesting you might visit your younger sister next year during the Tassie Beerfest PB2? [unsure] [whistling [wink]

Cheers,

Anthony.

Only if you are from Queensland Nick! [lol]

As a side-note, I'm not from Tasmania. [innocent]

Scottie, SWMBO is keen for next year. I just need to find some accommodation that is really, really cheap (read: free), beer on tap (preferably from a nice shiny kegerator), good company and a free child minding service.

Do you know of any! [innocent]
