Beerlust Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Hi guys. APA style + Extract based + PB2 recipe + Chinook hop influence (I have been looking to use this hop for sometime) = a MUST brew for me. I just finished mixing up PB2's latest recipe from the How To Brew section, "Chubby Cherub Pale Ale". It just hit every cord for me with my most favourite style of beer to brew. I've been patiently waiting for a recipe in this makeup for sometime, so I'm really happy to finally see this one on the Coopers website. [biggrin] Although there are references to the Cascarillo Amber Ale in the post, I find the recipe certainly has similar attributes to the Coopers Celebration Ale recipe that I have previously brewed, & really enjoyed. [love] I'm really looking forward to drinking this brew when suitably ready. P.S. PB2, please stop posting such great recipes, you are forcing me to detour away from my usual experimental brewing! [lol] Hats off to you sir. Recipe-wise, I reckon you are really outdoing yourself of late! [cool] Cheers, Anthony.
Hairy Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I read the thread title, then the topic starter and then I vomited in my mouth [sick] It looks like a good recipe though.
BradP4 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Yep, I read the email today with the Chubby recipe and thought "yeah I'll go for that." proceeded to the online store only to find it's sold out [annoyed] I guess too many others got in sooner. I'm hoping it will become available again soon.
Beerlust Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 I read the thread title' date=' then the topic starter and then I vomited in my mouth [sick'] [lol] [lol] ...and my day just gets better & better! [lol] [lol] Maybe there is a GOD?! [biggrin] Cheers, Anthony.
Beerlust Posted November 16, 2013 Author Posted November 16, 2013 Hi guys. Earlier today I had a two week taster of my brew of the Chubby Cherub recipe from the How-To-Brew section. The hop aroma & flavours are very nice, but IMHO it needs some aging time, that I will certainly be giving it. The brew has some similarities to the Celebration Ale recipe that I also brewed earlier this year, & that too developed into a lovely beer to drink after a few months in the bottle. Given the recipe similarities, I'll be treating this brew with the same respect. [cool] Cheers, Anthony.
JohnE9 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Hi All, Well, I have a full Chubby C. Just removed the removed the krausen collar and the aromas coming out of the FV were just beautiful.[love] This batch, baby, is looking so sweet! Thanks PB2 for putting the kit together.
