MarkJ3
I've ordered a few 9cm diameter stainless steel mesh balls to start doing some dry hopping. Does anybody have some sort of list as to what type of hops should be used with certain Coopers LME? [rightful] I would expect a stout would use a different hop to a cerveza. Or is there no rules and just experiment?[pinched] [cool] Thanks in advance for any advice![biggrin] [cool]
Hairy
This resource is quite good. BYO - Hop Guide But don't let it constrain you.
MarkJ3
Thanks Hairy that is a great start. What i'm really after is a list with, for example; Coopers Australian Pale Ale - best suited to ???????? 2 or 3 different hops that go best with each Coopers LME. There are many hops that go with the pale ale kit, pretty much all of them. It comes down to your personal taste. Try commercial beers and find out what hops are in them to give you an idea. PhilboBaggins
Styles are restrictive. Every new 'style' that has emerged was created by someone trying a new combination of things which had not been done before. Buy some malt and buy some hops. Put them together. If it turns out killer, then we will all use your recipe. [happy]
