It's here - the 2004 Extra Strong Vintage Ale has now been released.

You should expect to see the product in retail outlets as of next week in South Australia and following shortly afterwards in each state.

Initial tasting shows that this ale is drinking well for immediate consumption, and will continue to improve with cool cellar conditioning.

It will be available from all quality liquor merchants.

Lovely beer, well rounded, and despite the higher alcohol content, it doesn't seem to go so quickly to one's head. The change in labelling and packaging is OK, although I'm a traditionalist at heart, and would have preferred the labelling to follow as in past batches, but that's just me. I am a little dismayed though that the batch number is no longer shown on the label - sure I know the year is, but the batching also added that little bit more "uniqueness" and personality. That said another fine addition to the Coopers stable.

Gday,

I have a friend who has a carton of batch 1 vintage ale from 96 which has been cellared. Is it ok to drink? Please reply quickly because we are thirsty and the bottle o's are shut!

Seriously though, its up for grabs for bidders!

Cheers,

Plug.
