McFrankel
Got a 20 litre complete party set up mini keg set for Christmas. www.minikeg.net.au Means days of washing so many bottles are behind me. Still not the 23 litre keg set up I had my eye on so Santa must of thought there was still a little bit of naughty in me [devil] Anyway my question is how much sugar would I put into a 5 litre keg for secondary fermentation. In the future I plan to get a secondary fv to bulk prime but until then advice please... Cheers M
Guest
Your link does not work so cant see the system. Half the 'normal' amount of sugar you would use for a bottle if you want to naturally carb or 30 PSI for 3 days then back to 10-12 PSI or 12 PSI for 1 week. Please fix the link? Hairy
Yeah, please report back on the results. A couple of 5 litre kegs and some bottles from a batch would be handy.
Ivon T
Sorry to dig up an old thread but any feedback on this unit? I was online last night and decided to buy one for shits and giggles..... Worthwhile? or have I wasted my time and money?
Hairy
I'm pretty keen to hear some feedback too. I should probably stop being lazy and do some googling myself [biggrin]
Ivon T
Put a wheat beer into my "kegs" the other afternoon - was much quicker than bottling. Can't wait to see if it makes drinking a little more convenient....
McFrankel
sorry about the lack of feed back. I have been waiting for it not be so hot in Queensland before making another brew. I have just put down a mex cev Tuesday night so will be kegging that friday week. It will be ready just in time for Xmas [innocent]
McFrankel
Ok well it has now been a month since I (mini) kegged my beer so I decided to give it a shot tonight. It was naturally conditioned so hence the time between kegging and drinking [lol] . So I tapped teh keg and poured 2 glasses one for the Mrs and one for me. My wife couldn't believe how light it was compared to the bottled beer and has decided that she will purchase a 2nd set for next Xmas [devil] Ahh maybe one day I can upgrade to a real keg set [lol] So at the moment yes I recommend the mini keg set [love]

Ivon T
yeah it has a coool little addition to my brewing hobby.... Def get a better head pouring from the miniKeg than the bottle. Gonna buy a second set so I can have a couple of different brews (one Super Heavy Belgian or IPA and one swiller) available all the time...
