RuneH
Hello, I'm new to this stuff, and I have a question. how much dextrose should I use in a 330ml glass bottle secondary fermentation. I have last week bottled stout cooper, where I used cooper drops, but do not have enough drops to this beer. Rune.
Muddy Waters
Coopers recommend 8g of sugar or 9g of dextrose per litre...this equates to 2.97g for a 330ml bottle. This is a basic rule and everybody has there own preferences in regards to carbonation levels. It'd probably be easier to bulk prime.
Matty A
Welcome to the forums Rune. I agree with Muddy to bulk prime. I normally use roughly 175g for a 23L batch.
Hoptimus Maximus
Totally agree with Muddy and Matty. Bulk prime is easy and then you do not have to worry about size of bottles and varying amount of prime in differing sized bottles. All you need to bulk prime is a second container and a length of food grade hose. Any questions about the process has been discussed here previously but we can post pics of how to do it if need be.
