Guest
I was fascinated to hear (on the brewing network podcasts) that DME does not clump when disolved in cold water. Im going to give this a try.. im sick to death of all the lost DME stuck to the walls of my tub when I try to mix it in hot. Just thought id share, sorry if this is common knowlege and I missed the boat[ninja] Yob

Guest
Wow I never knew that, I do what the instructions here say. i.e. put in DME then add boiling water and pick whole FV up and swirl. I have never had any problems with it clumping up on me this way.
weggl
Just mixed 2.5Kg Wheat malt ok. Poured the first 1-1/2 Kg into 2L of hot water, stiring while pouring slowly. Put in another 2L of hot water and poured the remaining in slowly while stiring. Not a lump. Weggl
Muddy Waters
I usually only get lumps with the Coopers LDM - The lumps are sometimes big enough to bring down the Titanic [crying]
