kmar92
Keg and beer line maintenance day. Thoroughly cleaned 5 of my kegs and disassembled the posts for inspection, replaced a few poppets and springs and re-assembled and lubed the O-rings. Cleaned the beer lines and strpped down the disconnects for a clean and lube. I have a spare Nukatap for my Series X so I rotate the taps around, 1 at a time, for a clean and inspection and parts replacements as required. A bit of preventative maintenance usually pays dividends in the long run.
RDT2
Well I have a gas leak! I always tell people to turn the gas bottle off when not in use well guess what??? My gas bottle has a leak now, luckily I don’t have any leaks any where else. (Touch wood) I now have to wait till the bottle runs out so I just have the regulator set to serving pressure. The problem was I would set the reg to 40 psi initially and turn the bottle and I was like it doesn’t seem to be absorbing the gas into the beer. It wasn’t that at all the bottle is leaking. I was wondering why my beer was overcarbing???

I have never turned my bottles off & I have had never had any leaks, when the gas bottles were bought a test was carried out on both, but I have always wondered if I should turn them off at night, but I probably wouldn't remember anyway.
