Michael
Hey guys my first brew has now been in bottles for a week now at a pritty consistent TEMP of 21c. Do you reakon i could try it now or should i wait another week?
JohnS12
I would give it a try as it will give you a good idea as to how it will taste, I have some recipes that are fine to drink after 7-10 days but all taste better after a few weeks. Kearnage
There's no harm in trying it now other than wasting a bottle of (almost) beer.[crying] 2 weeks is really the minimum, most brews will continue to improve for many weeks.
johng12
I would try after about 9 days, a bit earlier i dont think it would be ready but at that stage gives you some idea what it would be like
Michael
So i tasted a bottle last friday. and it tasted pritty good. it was a little bit bitter but im sure that will die down a bit as it gets older i hope! It was nice and clear and poured a decent head although didnt hold it for long. But for my first ever brew im happy so far [biggrin]
Kearnage
Sounds like a great start. It should only get better with a bit more time (if you can leave them alone that is!).
