Beer Cartel Advent Calendar - December 22

Sunday Road Brewing Co - Yule Fuel - Cold IPA

Plethora of aromas: Tropical, Citrus, Stone Fruit, Melon, Pine, Spicy.

Flavour is Earthy/Woody with hints of same fruit as in the aroma.  Bitterness is bold.  Still a very refreshing beer. 8.5/10

Beer Cartel Advent Calendar - December 23

One Drop Brewing Co - Strawberry & Vanilla Nitro Milkshake IPA

Yep it’s pink tinged.

Smells like Strawberries & Cream lollies, so I think they hit their mark.  But I am almost too scared to taste it.

Taste is more cream than strawberry (but still a strawberry sweetness). Vanilla too, and heaps of it. Silky mouthfeel. Bitterness is still there. So this does not taste as sweet as the aroma suggests. I had this in a nucleated glass which helped the creaminess. I’m going to give this 9/10 for originality, tastes good too.

Beer Cartel Advent Calendar - December 24

Boatrocker Brewery - Tripel - Blonde Strong Ale

Smells like a big beer. No frills, just beer.

Strong malty flavour. Alcohol presence is right up front. Went well with Christmas lunch (Gravy was added post photo). Beer 8/10.  Lunch 10/10

Beer Cartel Advent Calendar - December 25

Sauce Brewing Co - Stoutmas Mocha Imperial - Coffee & Chocolate Imperial Stout

Strong Mocha/Chocolate/Coffee aromas and flavours. Pleasant roasty flavour. Quite a dry finish. Negligible alcohol note for a 9% beer. Bitterness is restrained but balanced. A good beer 9/10

Akasha Brewing - Ron McClane Cryo Pop IPA

Tropical and citrus aromas - Wow

Incredible apricot mandarin flavoured front end and malty flavoured back end. Moderate bitterness. Ace beer 9/10

I love Sauce beers, they do high alcohol rather well.
