Hey OD I have had knee meniscus injuries in the past, actually probably have a mild one at present, and they are so very slow to heal as there is not a big blood supply to the knee meniscus. It just takes a long time and do not load it up too much until it is fully healed.

not  intending too mate   ,  brewing wont be so bad  becuase will have mrs's to help as she has a day off work she can help do the lifting and the change of temps for me on the bz

i wont be doing to much strenious like playing golf of such..

i was thinking of playing golf as it was a 4 man ambrose on Saturday but i have decided against it as that will upset the knee and i dont wanna do that..

i will be having another chat with the physio  in the next day or so and will check if its ok to do a brew      i am pretty sure he would object to golf

Just got home from seeing the quack   and the phyiso

the bad news is no weight on my right foot no playing golf or having nookie

the good news  i can brew   just dont weight bare on it

the diagnosis was a meniscus ligament

arrgh well all strapped up now

Damn meniscus

Gotta remember to take the reading from the bottom of it or you'll record a dodgy OG 🤪

Seriously though, that is some nasty pain - follow directions and bounce back soon!

Well done Mick, glad you're almost back to full strength. Also glad that you've almost recovered. 🤣🍻😉

Good to hear.

So did you reduce your beer intake or just stick to K&K or small batches? If you reduced, did you lose weight 'cos that would help the knee issues.

See... you think that but unless you're under 25, that doesn't really work out. 😄 Once it goes on it's MUCH harder to lose... speaking for a friend of course. 😄

Think you and me might know the same friend JM.

so do i to be honest

i thought i would go for a firkin rather then a 6 pack ya see

but in hindsight i should have stopped at 25 when i had the 6 pack

now its hard to get rid of the firkin

My 6 pack has turned into a carton I'm afraid 🙂

Glad you're doing better mate.

So can we NOT say 'firkin' on here - I KNOW what a firkin is but every time I see the word this comes to mind... 😄
