Coopers Stout

Recommended Posts

Coopers Stout went in yesterday    20 litres at ambient temp 22-24°  SG 1056

1.7 can Coopers Stout

1.5 can Coopers Wheat Malt Extract

Ix 500gm box Coopers LDME

1 x Supplied Yeast

I x Safale s-04

Quite a bit of action in the Fermenter, airlock bubbling away.  The Ampi style FV's are not clear but visible krausen. Looking forward to this one.

Cheers.

I've got one at FG but I'll leave it another day or two before bottling. I followed the Coopers Best Extra Stout recipe but reduced the dextrose and increased the volume to 25l. It should finish around 4.5% once bottled.

Mine is at between 1012-1014 after 14 days,  this would be due to the Wheat Malt Extract etc I added. I will have to bottle today,  I can't see it going down anymore OG was 1036.

Coopers Stout Bottling Day at Classic Brewing Co.

@Barramullafella  I have done some more experiments with this recipe ( above ) with Carb Drops vs White Sugar as follows;

CARB DROPS X 2

Coopers longnecks 750ml x7, PET bottle 740ml x 6

FULL MEASURE WHITE SUGAR

PET bottles 740ml x 8, Grolsch bottles 450ml x 10

TOTAL YIELD 20.11 LITRES

Smelt really good, again, now the wait. 😬
