I have had a fair bit to do with Photo enhancements & it is a never ending story as it all starts with the type of file, what it's converted to, which program is used & your intention of what you want to achieve, there are so many ways to sharpen, blur a photo & many other things you can do to make it appear older including Sepia or Black & White. I have restored, enhanced many old photos some even taken from the Hotel wall, probably been there for 50-100 years & there are many ways to manipulate them. It is just as much fun starting with a modern SLR camera & taking a high resolution shot & then playing around in Photoshop to completely change it's appearance & make it look older. One of my favourite photos is the Carlton Clydesdale Horses outside some of the famous old Victorian Hotels, sadly they are now all retired. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just a little softness added mate, looks a bit older now. Some of the pics from years gone by are pin sharp depending on what format they were taken on.
