Andris
since I read that post about 3can RIS mix with sugar, I stare at the cans of heritage lager, pale ale and can of liquid amber malt and wondering what would I get mixing those 3 cans up to some 21l... Any ideas? Suggestions?
JohnS12
would not recommend unless you want high Alc. beer. e.g. for each Kilo will be 1.5% Alc. so 3 cans = 4.5 kilos x 1.5 is going to end up with you beer at 6.75 or higher plus a lot of sediment in the bottom which you with start draining into your bottles
JohnS12
Sorry made a mistake as you have 2 cans at 1.7 kg and 1 at 1.5kg the final figure would be approx 7.35% Alc.
PB2
It's also about the balance of the final beer - residual sweetness to bitterness. I think those 3 cans will produce a beer that is too thick and sweet. Perhaps a toucan using the Heritage and Pale + 500g of Sugar/Dextrose...
