Yeah, pretty much like the weather on TV, it depends on which cannel you watch, it seems they are all trying to outdo each other. I prefer the BOM website as it is pretty much the most trusted you would think. We are in for a few hotties in the next few days. Great by the beach though.
Classic Brewing Co
My neighbour gave me a bucket full of Peaches, too many to handle at once so now they are in the Ezidri Dehydrator. This bad boy has paid for itself many times over, next project Beef Jerky & Tomatoes. Recipe attached for those interested, I have varied it many times. Tricky Micky
Raided the garden this morning. Spring onions, various tomato varieties, large green chilli's and some bean sprouts. I think SWMBO has something in mind for dinner tonight.

At our supermarkets the bean sprouts in plastic packets are very tired and on the way out before you even open the packet.

Hey Jenny, you need to get a packet of Mung beans like these, sold at most Asian grocers and even Woolworths and Coles sometimes. Here's a tutorial, Hope it is easy to understand. Takes us about 4 days - the results are really good - much better than the packaged stuff - really fresh. 2

Tricky Micky
Strangely, growing very little. Every green leaf vege has been devoured. Yes we get possums but this was different - never seen so much carnage to the vege patch before. Hmmmmmmmmm! Time to investigate further I thought. Who would've thunk! Little Lucy the Guinea Pig on a wild escapade from someone's home had been helping herself to the backyard buffet. Looks like I've got a new member of the family.

I bought the dried Mung Beans and soaked as described. They sprouted very well, but not very long roots. We made Sang Choy Bow and Chicken Laksa soup - very yummy and crunchy with the sprouts.

Frank, @Coopers DIY Beer Team, I trust you noticed the repurposed Coopers extract can - now a little hidey hole for Lucy.

Have you cut both ends off the can? Lucy will have a hard time turning around in there by the end of next week if she's pregnant.

Tricky Micky
Visiting the bride's folks and family in Thailand. Haven't seen them for over four years. The house needs some work, but the trees have flourished. Planted banana, Avo and mango trees about 5 years back and they're now producing heaps of fruit.

Northeast - about 40 minutes out from Udon Thani, and about 40 minutes to the Laos Border. Very little tourist traffic, which is why most of the street food is really authentic.

Cult Of One
I have 3 sorts of lemon (Meyer, Lisbon & eureka) Mandarin, Valencia orange, limes, olives, loads of chilis but surprisingly being Melbourne based I also manage to get 600+ Bananas out of my suburban back yard per year. None of the above goes to waste. I also ensure that I have fresh herbs growing I have a dehydrator for lots of things but I make a Banana and brown sugar spiced Kraken rum jam with all the massive oversupply of bananas. I am reliably informed that if you spread it on waffles and pancakes its the bees knees but sadly I eat neither pancakes or waffles or even the jam. I make a mean marmalade with all the citrus which the family all come over and pilfer whilst drinking my home brew beer.

I've watered it almost daily and I've fertilised again to hopefully get some size going. One thing that has me puzzled are these brown patches on many of them. Would this just be sunburn? I think it could be a calcium deficiency. if you crush up egg shells fine and put that around the base it can help or as I do with tomatoes just mix a lt of milk with 1 lt water and pour on the soil. If that's not the problem then you are only out a dollar for the milk and the egg shells are waste otherwise.
