King Ruddager
I just pre-ordered mine from Beer Cartel. It's expensive, but more varied and better than the Booze Bud one I had a couple of years before. Does anyone else go nuts over their beer calendar every year? I had the Booze Bud one a few years but then changed to Beer Cartel for the next couple of years. I found the Beer Cartel box much more interesting. I didn't buy one last year and regretted it. I better get in before they sell out.

King Ruddager
Yeah that part hurt. The BoozeBud one is usually ~$120 I think? Edited September 25, 2020 by King Ruddager

Shamus O'Sean
Order placed (Beer Cartel) I got last year's too. Compared to the Aldi beer advent calendar (ooh, look, another lager) which was around $50, the Beer Cartel was great value. 1
Aussiekraut
I usually get the Booze Bud one for my birthday but SWMBO hasn't mentioned it yet I'll see.
Aussiekraut
Haaaaa, I just mentioned to SWMBO that if she decides to get me another one of those, to try the Beer Cartel one. I think she ordered one for me

Naughty Corner Brewing
Haven’t done one before but ordered the Beer Cartel one. Bit exxy but not too bad. Keen to share the experience but I’m sure Shamus’ tasting notes will put us all to shame. 1

Naughty Corner Brewing
Hey. Just a heads up if you were looking to buy the Beer Cartel Advent Calendar and haven’t ordered yet, they just put up a post on Facebook to say they are likely to sell out today.

Shamus O'Sean
Beer Cartel Advent Calendar - 1st December 2020 Mountain Culture - Yippee Ki Yay NEIPA Fruity, especially citrus aroma The taste is even more intense. It is so citrus-y, if you spilt some on an open cut, it would sting for an hour. Well balanced. You still know it is a beer rather than carbonated fruit juice. Excellent start Beer Cartel 8/10.
kmar92
I am also doing the Beer Cartel Advent Calendar and I must say that it started well. I found the Yippee Ki Yay Neipa really packed a fruity punch, strong passionfruit, citrus etc. Sweet, but not too sweet, and an oh so slight bitter after taste. Well balanced I thought and very hazy in the glass as you would expect. As Shamus said a great start to the Advent Calendar. I rate this as 9/10. Although I said the opposite to a mate who rated it 7.5/10. Come back tomorrow for a comment on tonight's (2nd December) brew.
kmar92
I just rated it as it tasted to me, tasting is of course a very subjective thing.
Shamus O'Sean
Beer Cartel Advent Calendar – 2nd December Seven Mile Brewing Co – The Extra Mile – West Coast IPA Passion fruit, tropical aroma Seems like lowish bitterness, but propped up by late hop additions. Somewhat danky, but not overly so. Very much a hoppy beer. Any malt is well in the background. 7.5/10.
kmar92
Quite a complex hoppiness to this IPA and a well balanced bitterness, in contrast to Shamus I found the bitterness quite lingering. 7/10.
kmar92
Beer Cartel Advent Calendar - 3rd December. Sunday Road Brewing Co - The Holidays - Coffee Lager. Coffee and vanilla nose. Coffee overtones and a mild bitterness. Quite smooth drinking. 6.5/10
kmar92
Beer Cartel Advent Calendar - 4 December. Sauce Brewing Co - Pineapple Squeak - Pineapple NEIPA. Hazy beer, hop particles present. Slight pineapple aroma. Pineapple taste comes through with a hoppiness. This beer seems a little conflicted to me, the pineapple and the hops used seem a little at odds with each other, and at 6.2% abv I don't know the 3 different perceived tastes don't sit well with me. Not really a fan. 5.0/10. Edited December 4, 2020 by kmar92

Not really a fan. 5.0/10. I tipped this out. Couldn't finish it. The pineapple flavouring extract they've added was just too much. Tastes like those chewy pineapple lollies put through a blender. Shamus O'Sean
Beer Cartel Advent Calendar – 3rd December Sunday Road Brewing – The Holidays Coffee Lager Lovely Amber colour. Maybe not as coffee forward as described on the can, but it is definitely there. Some maltiness too. The other aromas of vanilla, caramel, butter rum and raisin are discernible too. Flavour is another matter. This tastes outstanding. They have captured the Espresso Martini exceptionally well. Not harsh at all. 8/
