Forgot to take SG on day1

Hello,

my first foray into this beer brewing.  all going well...i think. however i realised i forgot to to take the SG on Day 1.

i remebered today on day 3 today and the SG was 1.22.

How much will this affect the final calcualtions?

You will be unable to work out the ABV using SG values. However if you use the attached spreadsheet and put in the ingredients, including separating out the components of any Brew Enhancer (BE) you used (see here for what they are - https://www.diybeer.com/au/faqs/#FAQ_4_02 ) it will get pretty close for you.

The main thing from here is to make sure the FG is stable for 2 days, then you know it's done. If you did a kit and kilo of fermentables, you'll end up around 4.2% when bottled.

Damn! I meant to add that.  I blame SWMBO because... dramas.

You can easily work out the OG from the ingredients and volume. A kit and kilo in 23 litres starts at about 1.038.
